DARPA fellowship program open for CY27 nominations
The Marine Corps is accepting nominations for the CY27 DARPA Service Chiefs' Fellowship Program, a 12-week assignment in Arlington where officers work alongside DARPA researchers. Active-duty senior captains, majors, and lieutenant colonels are the primary targets, but Officers on Active Reserve Status are also eligible.

PCS spouse relicensing and business cost reimbursement updated
HQMC updated the rules and process for reimbursing Marines whose spouses had to get a new professional license or move a business after a PCS. Up to $1,000 per category is available, and the program runs through 2029.

USMC Innovation Challenge Round 2 Is Open
The Deputy Commandant for Information has launched the second round of the USMC Innovation Challenge, a competition where Marines and DON civilians build tech solutions to real Corps-wide problems using Microsoft 365 tools. Any Marine or DON civilian can register and participate, including reservists with local commander approval.

Every Marine, active and reserve, must complete annual CBRN mask fit and seal testing each fiscal year. Reserve units have until 31 December 2026 to submit a compliance plan if they have untrained personnel.
