PDMRA is cancelled. Stop submitting claims now.

MARADMIN 016/26·October 20, 2026·1 min read·Official source

PDMRA is gone. A Department of War instruction issued 30 June 2026 cancelled the policy behind the program, and this MARADMIN follows by cancelling the 2012 guidance that governed it for Marines. If you were holding onto unused PDMRA days or planned to submit a claim, that option no longer exists.

★ Affects all reservists: Stop submitting PDMRA claims immediately. They will not be accepted or processed.

Who it affects

Every Marine, Total Force. That includes active component, SMCR, IMA, and IRR. If you accrued PDMRA days from a past mobilization and haven't claimed them yet, this cancellation applies to you.

What you need to do

If you have not already submitted a PDMRA claim, do not submit one. The window is closed.

If you are an administrator or S-1 shop, stop accepting and processing unused PDMRA claims now. No exceptions are stated in the MARADMIN.

If you believe you have an unusual circumstance or a claim already in progress, contact the POC below before doing anything else. Do not assume in-progress claims are grandfathered. The MARADMIN does not say they are.
