Coordinating Instructions 4.a. Upon receipt of orders, primary selectees have 20 days to gain 28 months for CONUS or 40 months for OCONUS of obligated service from estimated date of arrival or, submit for retirement in lieu of orders effective on the last day of the reporting month. 4.b. If a billet becomes vacant due to unforeseen circumstances, an alternate will be selected based on the needs of the Marine Corps. 4.c. Individuals slated in place will serve an additional 12 months in the billet. These billets are projected to be slated on next year's HVBB. 4.d. Enlisted Career Force Control waivers should be submitted via the appropriate Manpower Management Separation and Retirement request process in accordance with references (b) and (e). 5.
