The Marine Corps is soliciting nominations for the FY27 Intelligence Data Engineer training pipeline, which awards NMOS 2652 upon completion. This is a two-part course running from mid-2027 through April 2028, fully funded by TECOM. If you're an enlisted Marine in the intel or select technical MOSs and you've been eyeing a data engineering track, this is your window.
Bottom line: Applications are due to the 265X Occupational Field (OccFld) Specialist by 30 January 2027, and you need to pass an online aptitude test before you can even submit.
Who it affects
Active component enlisted Marines. The program is built around these PMOS:
Eligible for NMOS 2652 (must hold one of these PMOS): 0231, 0241, 0261, 2621, 2629, 2631, 2641, 2651, 2659, 5951, 6842
Invited to attend but will not receive the NMOS (based on subject matter expertise and seat availability): 0111, 0171, 0411, 0511, 0551, 0671, 0673, 3043, 3451, 6012, 6694
Marines outside these lists can still apply. Those applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis after all primary and invited applicants are processed.
This MARADMIN is directed at the active component. Reserve Marines (SMCR, IMA, IRR) should confirm with their command or S-1 whether this pipeline is available to them before applying.
What you need to do
The application comes from your Reporting Senior, not directly from you. Get them involved early.
Here's what the package requires, in order:
- Complete the Data Engineering Aptitude Test on Marine Corps eLearning Ecosystem (MCeLE). Contact the POC below to get access to the course first.
- Pull your MCeLE completion certificate. This is enclosure 3.
- Get a Page 11 entry acknowledging the 36-month service obligation. This is enclosure 1.
- Obtain monitor release from MMEA and include it as enclosure 2. Contact MMEA directly and loop in the POC.
- Have your Reporting Senior write a command endorsement (enclosure 4) and submit the full package to the 265X OccFld Specialist by email NLT 30 January 2027.
A sample application package is available at: https://go.intelink.gov/GdBvm0U (requires Intelink access).
