FY27 TFI MOS Selection Board: AR Program Now Accepting Applications

MARADMIN 483/26·October 8, 2026·4 min read·Official source

The Marine Corps has announced the FY27 Total Force Integrator (TFI) MOS Selection Board, convening 1-3 December 2026. This board selects AR Marines for billets focused on large-scale force integration: planning, coordinating, and synchronizing Reserve and Active Component operations across combatant commands and global exercises. If you're an AR Major, LtCol, GySgt, or MSgt looking for a high-visibility billet, the application window is open now and closes soon.

Do this: Submit your application at the M&RA portal before 2359 EST on 12 November 2026. That is the hard cutoff.

Who it affects

This MARADMIN applies only to AR Program Marines (component code B1). Eligible ranks:

  • Officers: Major through Lieutenant Colonel (including selects for Major)
  • Enlisted: Gunnery Sergeant through Master Sergeant (including selects for GySgt)

You are not eligible if any of the following apply:

  • You are not currently in the AR Program (B1)
  • You are on an AR limited tour or accession tour
  • You have an approved retirement, resignation, or pending conditional release
  • You have been passed over for promotion more than once in your current grade and component
  • You will not have 24 months time on station by 1 August 2027
  • You lack a current Secret or higher security clearance
  • Officers: you have not completed required PME for your current grade, or have not completed both the basic and advanced Total Force Integration Staff Training (TFIST) courses
  • Enlisted: you have not completed required PME for your current grade, or have not completed or registered for the advanced/enlisted TFIST course

Exceptions to any ineligibility criteria require endorsement from the first O-6 in your chain of command, routed to the RAM-3 POCs listed below.

What you need to do

  1. Confirm you meet eligibility requirements above.
  2. Log in to the M&RA portal at https://www2.manpower.usmc.mil/application_cac/ using your CAC.
  3. Read the application instructions in full before filling anything out.
  4. Attach all required documents and rank your billet preferences from most to least desired. Use the remarks field to give context for your choices.
  5. Submit before 2359 EST, 12 November 2026. That is the only accepted method. No exceptions described.

You do not need to have completed the TFI prerequisite training courses to apply. If selected as a primary, you'll have until 30 days after the results MARADMIN drops to complete them. Details on that will come in the results MARADMIN.

A few things to know about the tour

Selected Marines (primary or alternate filling a primary slot) incur a 24-month utilization tour. You cannot submit for RAD or PSEP during that tour. The one exception: Marines selected for O-5 command in the AR program can depart the tour early. Conditional release requests will not be approved before the 24 months are up.

Alternate selectees are chosen per grade. They may complete training and fill a billet if a primary slot opens up, but they do not receive the TFI MOS until they actually fill a primary vacancy and complete all requirements.
