All-Marine Sports is looking for athletes and coaches for 2027

MARADMIN 479/26·October 7, 2026·3 min read·Official source

The Semper Fit (SF) Branch under M&RA Marine and Family Programs is now taking applications for 2027 All-Marine Sports teams, 2027 Military World Games (MWG) trial camps, and the Elite Marine Athlete Program. Events run from December 2026 through October 2027 across a range of sports. The Corps covers billeting, airfare, transportation, uniforms, entry fees, and equipment for approved participants.

Heads up: SMCR and IMA Marines are eligible, but your command must put you on active-duty orders before you can participate or receive travel funding.

Who it affects

This is open to active duty, active reserve, and reserve Marines on active duty. SMCR and IMA Marines are explicitly eligible to apply, with the caveat that your command has to place you on active-duty orders (operational support or similar) for you to participate and tap into M&RA travel funds. IRR Marines are not mentioned.

Coaches must be E-6 or above. Civilians may apply for coaching positions only.

What you need to do

  1. Get your CO's approval before applying. Commanding officers should endorse Marines who are in full duty status and reflect the Corps' core values.
  2. Complete the standard testing events: 3-rep max hex-bar or barbell deadlift, bench press, and squat; 1-rep max broad jump and pro-agility test; 40-yard dash; and your most recent 3-mile and 880-yard run times.
  3. Gather proof of prior competitive experience in your sport (high school, collegiate, Olympic, etc.) and any awards or recognition.
  4. Fill out the application at https://www.usmc-mccs.org/allmarinesports.
  5. Email the completed application to allmarinesports@usmc-mccs.org.

Coaches should apply immediately. Athletes should apply no later than 30 days before the Armed Forces Sports Championship for their sport.

Events run December 2026 through October 2027. Here is the current schedule. All dates and locations are subject to change. Check https://armedforcessports.defense.gov/Events-Calendar/ for updates.
