AY 2027-28 Reserve Officer PME Board Results

MARADMIN 461/26·October 1, 2026·4 min read·Official source

The AY 2027-28 Reserve Officer Professional Military Education (RPME) selection board met on 14 September 2026 and has published its results. Selected officers are approved by CMC (RA) and will receive separate correspondence with school details and orders processing instructions. If you're on the list, the clock is already running.

Do this: You have 30 days from 28 September 2026 to accept or decline your selection at https://www2.manpower.usmc.mil/application_cac/.

Who it affects

Reserve Component officers selected for RPME for AY 2027-28. The list covers a range of schools, from resident top-level and intermediate-level schools down to distance education programs and the Reserve Senior Staff Course (RSSC). Alternates are also affected but won't see their names in this MARADMIN.

What you need to do

If your name appears in the selectee list below:

  1. Accept or decline within 30 days of this MARADMIN (by approximately 28 October 2026) at https://www2.manpower.usmc.mil/application_cac/.
  2. If you're selected for a resident full-length school (FLS), sign a Statement of Understanding (SOU) and attach it to your acceptance survey. SOUs are at the Manpower site: go to Reserve Programs and Boards (RAM-3), then Support Documentation, then "RPME SOU."
  3. Initiate orders at least 90 days before your course convening date. Do not travel or move before orders are in hand.
  4. If you want a deferral, submit an AA Form endorsed by your first general officer in the chain of command to HQMC (RAM-3) no later than 90 days from this MARADMIN's release.
  5. If you're interested in a Post-FLS Professional Development Tour (PDT), indicate that in your acceptance survey. These are ADOS orders running concurrent with your 24-month FLS obligation. They are not guaranteed.

If your name is NOT in this MARADMIN, check the alternates list at the Manpower site: Reserve Programs and Boards (RAM-3), then "AY 2027-28 RPME Alternates." That list stays valid until the next RPME board convenes.

Nothing else to do if you are not a selectee or alternate.

  • This is the message that originally convened the AY 2027-28 Reserve Officer PME Board. It governs service obligation rules that vary by reserve component category and RPME opportunity, which selectees need to understand before accepting or declining.

  • Joint Travel Regulations (JTR)Reference

The JTR governs federal travel rules. This MARADMIN cites it to remind selectees that orders must be in hand before executing any portion of travel or movement related to attending resident PME.

  • This document is a portal for Reserve Affairs Management (RAM-1), covering enlisted accessions into the Active Reserve (AR) Program, reserve lateral moves, incentive programs, and education benefits transfers. If you are interested in going full-time with the Reserve component, applying for a bonus, or initiating a lateral move, this is where you find the eligibility requirements and required forms.

  • Selected officers must use this CAC-enabled portal to formally accept or decline their RPME selection within 30 days of this MARADMIN's release.
