MARSOC has published the FY27 schedule for HQMC MARSOC Screening Team (HMST) visits, covering 21 stops at bases across the U.S., Hawaii, Okinawa, and CONUS from October 2026 through August 2027. These visits brief interested Marines on pathways to Marine Raider (MR) PMOS 0372, Marine Raider Officer (MRO) PMOS 0370, Special Operations Capabilities Specialist (SOCS), and Combat Service Support (CSS) billets. The MARADMIN is explicitly not applicable to the Marine Corps Reserve.
Heads up: Paragraph 8 of this MARADMIN states it does not apply to the Marine Corps Reserve. Reserve-specific Marine Raider opportunities will come via separate correspondence.
Who it affects
Active component enlisted Marines and officers interested in MARSOC assignment. Reserve Marines (SMCR, IMA, IRR) are not covered by this message. A separate notice will address enlisted Marine Raider Reserve screening and selection when it is issued.
What you need to do
If you are a reservist, nothing to do here. Just know this MARADMIN does not apply to you, and watch for the separate RC-specific guidance when it publishes.
If you are an active duty Marine (or an IMA/reservist embedded with an active command who may be reading this): contact a MARSOC Recruiter or your Career Counselor and start the Command Screening Checklist before the visit at your nearest location.
