RAM-2, the Reserve Affairs manpower assignments branch at HQMC, is taking its Active Reserve (AR) monitor roadshow on the road for FY27. They're visiting four cities to brief Marines on AR assignments and career progression, and to conduct one-on-one monitor interviews. Both RC and AC Marines who want to learn more about the AR program are welcome.
Heads up: If you're even mildly curious about going Active Reserve, this is your lowest-friction shot at a face-to-face conversation with your actual monitor.
Who it affects
Any RC or AC Marine interested in the AR program. This is Total Force, so it doesn't matter if you're SMCR, IMA, or active component. If you have questions about AR assignments or career options, this roadshow is for you. MOS-specific monitors will be on hand covering the full range of occupational fields.
What you need to do
- Check if a roadshow stop is near you (locations and dates in the Key Dates section below).
- Attend the informational brief if one is offered at your command. Unit coordinators will receive briefs for dissemination.
- Book a one-on-one monitor interview through Microsoft Bookings. The link comes from the RAM Command Visit Coordinator via separate correspondence, so watch for that from your chain of command.
- If you're outside the listed locations and still want a visit, your commander can request a virtual or in-person visit through Maj Sean Herlihy (contact below). Give 90 days' notice. Note: visits outside the four listed locations are funded by the requesting unit, not HQMC.
