2025–2026 Inspector General of the Marine Corps Unit Awards

The IGMC-approved winners of the 2025–2026 von Steuben and General Shoup Superior Unit Performance Awards, along with all commands that achieved Tier I grading during their CCI or ICI inspections. This is an all-component announcement; no individual eligibility or action is involved.

GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  The Inspector General of the Marine Corps (IGMC) 

approved the winners of the 2025-2026 IGMC awards.  The

recipients were assessed as having the highest levels of Marine Corps 

efficiency, integrity, and institutional readiness and set a high 

standard for other units to emulate through their performance during

an IGMC inspection.  Awards will be presented at the 

2026 IGMC Training Symposium scheduled for 25-28 August 2026.

2.  Congratulations to the following units:

2.a.  2d Marine Logistics Group is the recipient of the von Steuben 

Superior Unit Performance Award.  The von Steuben Award is presented

to a unit evaluated in a Comprehensive Command Inspection (CCI) by 

IGMC during the inspection year.

2.b.  1st Marine Logistics Group is the recipient of the General

Shoup Superior Unit Performance Award.  The General Shoup Award is

presented to a unit evaluated in an Independent Command Inspection 

(ICI) by IGMC during the inspection year.

2.c.  In addition to the above winners, IGMC wishes to recognize the 

following commands for achieving Tier I level grading on their 

respective CCI/ICI:
