The Marine Corps has officially dropped the "Prohibited Activities and Conduct" label and replaced it with "Military Equal Opportunity" (MEO), effective immediately. This is a terminology change driven by DON and Department of War policy alignment, not a change to what's actually prohibited or how complaints are handled. Everything that was banned before is still banned. The reporting process is the same.

★ Affects all reservists: The PAC label is gone across all official policy, training, communications, and materials. Use MEO going forward.

Who it affects

Every Marine in the Total Force, including SMCR, IMA, and IRR. Any Marine or leader who runs EO training, writes local directives, gives briefs, or refers to the program by name needs to know the old label is retired.

What you need to do

If your unit has local directives, briefs, PowerPoints, or training materials that say "PAC" or "Prohibited Activities and Conduct," update them to say "MEO" or "Military Equal Opportunity." That's the main action item for commands.

For most individual Marines: nothing procedural changes. Just use the right name going forward.

The MEO Branch (MPE) will push a communication plan to Equal Opportunity Advisors (EOAs) to standardize the transition fleet-wide.
