CEME has released its FY27 program information, covering resident Sergeants School, SLS, First Sergeants School, SELOC, and command-sponsored courses for all components. If your Marines are due for PME this fiscal year, the windows, eligibility rules, and forms are now live. MCTIMS is the authoritative source for actual class dates; this MARADMIN and any printed calendars are secondary.

★ Affects all reservists: If you or your Marines need resident PME in FY27, your command must register in MCTIMS no later than 45 days before the class report date, using current forms only.

Who it affects

All SMCR, IMA, and IRR Marines who need EPME this fiscal year, plus their chains of command and anyone involved in nominations, funding, or scheduling. AC and AR Marines are covered too, but this translation focuses on the RC angle.

One notable policy for reserve Marines: if you are PME-complete in grade for one component (AC, SMCR, or IMA), that completion carries over if you transition to another component. This does not apply to IRR Marines transitioning into SMCR, IMA, or AC. It also has no bearing on promotion eligibility, which is a separate track under DC M&RA.

What you need to do

  1. Check actual class dates in MCTIMS. The MARADMIN lists dates in paragraphs 13, 14, 16, and 18, but MCTIMS supersedes everything.
  2. Confirm your Marines meet all eligibility requirements before submitting nominations: command screening checklist complete, waist-to-height standards met, full-duty status or approved waiver in hand, and all required nonresident prereqs done.
  3. Use only the current versions of the Command Screening Checklist (NAVMC 11580) and waiver forms, updated May 2026. Previous versions will be rejected.
  4. Submit nominations through your MARFOR formal schools quota manager in MCTIMS, no later than 45 days before the class report date.
  5. If a Marine can no longer attend, cancel immediately through your MARFOR rep in MCTIMS. Do not wait.

For command-sponsored courses, access requests and registration coordination are limited to E-8 and above. Reserve seat allocations are handled through MARFORRES representatives during the annual Training Implementation Plan conference.

Key dates

  • 45 days before any class report date: Nomination and registration deadline in MCTIMS
  • 45 days before convening: Deadline to request seat allocation adjustments (must be approved by TECOM)
  • May 2026: Current versions of screening checklist and waiver forms, use these only
  • Specific FY27 class dates: verify in MCTIMS or in paragraphs 13, 14, 16, and 18 of the MARADMIN
