HQMC is accepting applications from Master Gunnery Sergeants who want to serve as SNCOA Deputy Directors. These billets oversee PME programs of instruction, lead support staff, and manage Faculty Advisors across multiple schools. Five locations have projected vacancies, with a submission deadline of 15 August 2026.
Heads up: This MARADMIN explicitly does not apply to the Marine Corps Reserve.

For active component applicants, eligibility requirements include:
- Rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant
- EPME completed for current grade
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in word processing and presentation software
- Current PFT pass and within Body Composition standards
- Tattoo policy compliance
- Favorably adjudicated NACLC (Tier 3) security clearance, not expiring within 12 months (or reinvestigation initiated)
Preferred (not required): bachelor's or associate's degree, prior instructor experience, or completion of instructor courses.

Applications are submitted as a RELM through the Total Force Retention System (TFRS) and must include:
- Completed EPME SNCO Academy Faculty Advisor Screening Checklist with CO endorsement (available at
https://www.usmcu.edu/ceme/recruitment/) - Records of disciplinary actions from the service record
- Security Clearance Eligibility Verification Letter from the command Security Manager
