HQMC's Communication Directorate is hosting the 2026 Communication Strategy and Operations (CommStrat) Training and Leadership Development Summit (TLDS) at MCB Quantico from 3-7 August 2026. The USMCCCA Awards Banquet runs the evening of 4 August. This is a quota-based event for 45XX Marines across the force, and registration closes 19 July 2026.

Bottom line: If your command has a quota and you're a 45XX Marine, you need to register by 19 July 2026 and have lodging booked by the same date.

Who it affects

45XX (CommStrat) Marines nominated by their commands. The MARADMIN assigns specific quotas to named commands. Marine Forces Reserve/South has two seats. There are two additional "Other" seats available through the POC.

Two separate training tracks:

  • SNCOs (E6-E7) and Officers (O2-O3): Leadership and management focus, covering data-driven capabilities briefs, standardized playbooks, and operational planning.
  • NCOs (E4-E5): Hands-on practical application covering supply and maintenance, pre- and post-production planning, and advanced visual information techniques.

Both tracks will cover the new functional area checklist and use of the Training and Readiness Manual and certification process through the Marine Corps Training Information Management System (MCTIMS).

What you need to do

  1. Confirm with your command that you have a quota.
  2. Register no later than 19 July 2026 using the registration link: https://forms.osi.apps.mil/r/HdD9dFXXkH
  3. Book your lodging before 19 July 2026. Rooms not reserved by that date will be released.

    • Marine Lodge Quantico, group booking #3695: (703) 432-1341
  4. Bring the right gear. NCOs bring assigned program-of-record visual information acquisition and editing equipment. SNCOs and Officers bring issued MCEN laptops.
  5. Coordinate travel through your unit. Travel days are 2 and 8 August for TLDS. Travel days for banquet-only attendees are 3 and 5 August. All travel costs are a unit responsibility.

Commands wanting additional seats beyond their quota must contact the POC before the registration deadline. Unused quotas will be redistributed.
