MMOA is hitting the road from August through October 2026 to brief officers on the FY27 assignments process, run grade-specific town halls, and meet with command leadership. The roadshow covers installations across the continental U.S., Hawaii, Japan, and select virtual locations. The official purpose is education on how the staffing process works and a chance for commands to surface their manning priorities before the slate is built.
Heads up: This MARADMIN explicitly states it does not apply to the Marine Corps Reserve. If you are SMCR, IMA, or IRR, there is nothing to act on here.
Who it affects
Per paragraph 6 of the MARADMIN: this message is not applicable to the Marine Corps Reserve. It is directed at active component officers and the commands hosting or supporting the roadshow visits.
If you are an active component officer currently attached to or serving in an active billet, or if your unit is a responsible agency for one of the listed locations, this may be relevant to you. Otherwise, it does not apply.
What you need to do
Nothing, if you are a Reserve Marine. This MARADMIN is for awareness only in the reserve context.
If you are somehow touched by this (for example, serving in an active billet or attached to a listed command), your command's site coordinator is the right contact, and you should attend the roadshow brief and the appropriate town hall for your grade and community.
