ETMS2 Goes Down for 10 Days Starting June 12

MARADMIN 256/26·June 5, 2026·2 min read·Official source

The Marine Corps is migrating its Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2) to a cloud environment to improve security and reliability. The system will go read-only during two separate 10-day outage windows, one on NIPR and one on SIPR. You can view existing records during the outages, but you cannot create, edit, or route tasks. Units need alternate routing plans in place before the first window hits.

Heads up: ETMS2 goes read-only starting June 12. If your unit routes anything through HQMC, you need a backup plan and an inbox address submitted to DMCS by June 10.

Who it affects

Any unit or HQMC agency that uses ETMS2 to manage, route, or track tasks, especially those that route correspondence through HQMC. This includes both NIPR and SIPR users. If your shop touches ETMS2 at all, this applies to you.

What you need to do

  1. Submit your unit's organizational inbox address or POC information to DMCS at DMCS_SUPPORT_OMB@usmc.mil no later than June 10, 2026.
  2. Build an internal alternate communication and tasking plan before June 12.
  3. During the NIPR outage, route time-sensitive HQMC correspondence by email to DMCS_SUPPORT_OMB@usmc.mil. Include a HQMC routing sheet (NAVMC HQ 335/B) with all documentation. Only route packages that are genuinely time-sensitive.
  4. During the SIPR outage, use DMCS_SUPPORT_OMB@usmc.smil.mil for the same purpose.
  5. After the system comes back up, upload any packages processed during the outage into ETMS2 for record-keeping. Once ETMS2 is restored, DMCS will no longer accept packages via email.
