MICRR application shutting down October 2026, eGRC takes over

The Marine Corps is retiring the Managers' Internal Control Remediation and Reporting (MICRR) application and its companion Financial Management Evaluation and Assessments (FMEA) tool, both going offline 1 October 2026. The replacement is the Department of the Navy Enterprise Governance, Risk, and Compliance (eGRC) tool, which the Navy has designated as the single authoritative platform for internal control management across DON. This change affects anyone who works the Risk Management and Internal Control (RMIC) program at the command level.

Heads up: Once MICRR shuts down on 1 October 2026, all historical data inside it is gone. Pull what you need before 31 August 2026.

Who it affects

This one is narrow. It hits commands, Deputy Commandants, Directors, and RMIC Coordinators who use MICRR or FMEA to document internal control activities. If you're not in that lane, this doesn't require action from you. Reserve component commands with RMIC responsibilities are included.

What you need to do

  1. Before 31 August 2026, extract and retain any data from MICRR and FMEA your command will need going forward. Once the system is decommissioned, that data is inaccessible. There is no recovery path.
  2. For FY27 RMIC execution, stand up an interim solution to document and track RMIC activities while eGRC gets fully implemented. Microsoft Teams or SharePoint are explicitly listed as acceptable options.
  3. Watch for additional eGRC implementation guidance, which HQMC says is coming later in FY26.
  4. RMIC coordinators should work with Programs and Resources, Fiscal Division on eGRC user license requirements to make sure your command gets access.

Key dates

  • Now through 31 August 2026: Extract and save all needed data from MICRR and FMEA.
  • 1 October 2026: MICRR and FMEA go offline. Data no longer accessible.
  • FY27: Commands operate using interim solutions (Teams, SharePoint) until eGRC is fully implemented.
  • Later FY26: Additional eGRC implementation guidance expected from HQMC.
