Manpower Management has published the billet vacancies for Sergeant Major Slate 1-27. The slate board convenes 18-20 July 2026, and packages are due before that. Fitness reports must be submitted ahead of the normal schedule to meet the timeline. If you're an eligible SgtMaj, you need to move now.

Who it affects
Sergeants Major who are eligible for the FY27 Slate 1-27 cohort. This covers billets at three levels: Force, Major Subordinate Command (MSC), and High Visibility. Reserve SgtsMaj should confirm their eligibility status with their chain of command or S-1, as this MARADMIN does not separately call out SELRES or IMA eligibility.
What you need to do
- Confirm your eligibility for Slate 1-27 per MCBUL 1300 (the reference document governing the slating process).
- Coordinate with your reporting senior and reviewing officer immediately. They need time to complete and route your fitness report before the deadline.
- Ensure your fitness report is submitted and processed by MMPB-2 no later than 30 June 2026. This deadline is mandatory.
- Assemble your slate package. You may include a copy of your fitness report as an enclosure.
- Scan and email your slate package and any related correspondence to
HQMC_Dir_MM@usmc.milno later than 26 June 2026.
