Blue Angels is accepting enlisted Marine applications for 2027-2029

The Blue Angels is looking for enlisted Marines to fill seven billets for the 2027-2029 show seasons. The Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron (NFDS) announced openings across several aviation maintenance MOSs. If you're on active duty, in one of the qualifying MOSs, and meet the eligibility standards, you have until 20 May 2026 to get your package in.

Heads up: This MARADMIN explicitly does not apply to the Marine Corps Reserve. Reserve Marines are not eligible.

Who it affects

Active duty enlisted Marines only. This does not apply to SMCR, IMA, or IRR Marines.

What you need to do

This MARADMIN does not apply to reservists. Nothing to do. If you know an active duty Marine in one of these MOSs who might be interested, pass it along.

For active duty readers who landed here anyway: applications go through the Blue Angels website at https://www.blueangels.navy.mil/join. Submit electronically to MSgt Brandon Wishard at Brandon.J.Wishard.mil@us.navy.mil.

Your package must include, in this order:

  1. Application letter (Enclosure 2 of the reference, modified for enlisted)
  2. Copy of Basic Individual Record and Basic Training Record
  3. Copy of Page 11s
  4. Letters of recommendation
  5. Enlisted application questionnaire (available on the Blue Angels site)
  6. CO-signed endorsement letter on command letterhead, covering military appearance, tattoos, public speaking ability, demeanor, professional knowledge, and leadership

General eligibility requirements include:

  • On active duty
  • Minimum two years time-on-station by 1 June 2026, or within 12 months of PCS/PCA orders
  • No NJP or court-martial in the last 36 months
  • No alcohol-related incidents in the last 36 months; no DUI/DWI in the last five years
  • No financial instability or command-directed counseling in the last 36 months; must be eligible for a government credit card (no waiver)
  • No PFT or CFT failures in the last 36 months
  • Waivers are not normally considered

  • 1 June 2026: Selection results announced (no later than)
  • 31 October 2026: Selectees must report via PCS or PCA orders
