GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  The Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps (SMMC)

will host the 2026 Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps Symposium

(SMMCS-26) with concurrent spouse program in the National Capitol

Region from 18-24 July 2026. Force Level SgtsMaj will conduct the

GO level slate from 18-20 July at Marine Corps Base Quantico, VA.

Force Level SgtsMaj and Joint and Combatant Command SgtsMaj will

attend briefings at the Pentagon on 21 July in Arlington, VA.

Force Level SgtsMaj, Joint and Combatant Command SgtsMaj, MSC Level

SgtsMaj, and Spouses will attend the planned symposium agenda from

22-24 July at the National Conference Center in Leesburg, VA.

Master Gunnery Sergeant Senior Enlisted Advisors and Command Master

Chief Petty Officers will attend the planned Symposium agenda from

23-24 July at the National Conference Center in Leesburg, VA.

3.  The SMMC office retains overall staff cognizance for

SMMCS-26 and serves as the official information release authority.

The Director, Special Projects Directorate, provides direct support

to the SMMC office and is responsible for all logistical,

administrative, and operational support for SMMCS-26.

4.  In the event the SMMCS-26 is cancelled or postponed to a

later date, guidance will be provided through separate

correspondence (SEPCOR).

5.  Detailed programs for both principles and spouses are in

development and will be promulgated separately.

6.  Tasks.

6.a.  Invited SgtsMaj, MGySgts, and CMDCMs that cannot attend

the symposium are required to provide justification to

SMMC directly.

7.  Administration and Logistics

7.a.  More information about administration, logistics,

including a one stop registration website which reduces

the time and effort necessary to register, will be provided

through an administrative/logistics message via email.

7.b.  This MARADMIN does not constitute travel

funding authority for spouses.  Travel authority will be sent out

via SEPCOR.
