HQMC updated the standing OCS summer augmentation MARADMIN (024/23) to add a formal requirement for Navy Corpsmen during peak training periods at OCS and The Basic School. This is a narrow administrative change, but it matters if you're an HM or a command that gets tasking for augmentation support.

Heads up: At least 24 HMs holding Primary Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) code L03A are now formally required to augment OCS and TBS during peak training periods each summer.

Who it affects

This update is specific to Navy Hospitalmen (HMs) who hold NEC code L03A and the commands that source augmentation support, including Marine Forces Command, Marine Forces Pacific, and other sourcing commands identified by TECOM. Most SMCR and IMA Marines are not directly affected unless they fall into that NEC or their unit receives an augmentation tasking.

What you need to do

For most reservists, this is awareness only. Nothing to do.

If you are an HM with NEC L03A, or you work in a billet that handles augmentation sourcing or personnel assignments, check with your S-1 or G-1 to see if this affects your summer AT window or a potential tasking.
