The Marine Corps announced the CY27 Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy (FBINA) selection board and is soliciting nominations from the Marine Corps Police Force. The FBINA is a competitive professional development program for law enforcement personnel. This MARADMIN is explicitly not applicable to the RC.
Heads up: Paragraph 6 states directly that this announcement does not apply to the Reserve Component.
Who it affects
Nobody in the RC. The MARADMIN covers active duty Marines in the 58XX MOS field and Marine Corps civilian law enforcement officers (GS-0083 police officers and GS-1811 criminal investigators). Reserve Marines are explicitly excluded.
What you need to do
Nothing. This does not apply to SMCR, IMA, or IRR Marines. If you are a reservist who also works as a Marine Corps civilian law enforcement officer in a GS-0083 or GS-1811 position, check with your command about whether your civilian role makes you eligible through the civilian track. That is not addressed in this MARADMIN, so ask your S-1 or chain of command.
