The Marine Corps Command Safety Awards program provides recognition to commands and individuals for significant contributions and accomplishments in the field of safety and mishap prevention. The reference provides policy and procedural guidance to establish the Marine Corps Command Safety Awards Program. Recipients are recognized in the following categories. 2.a. Warrior Preservation Award: Marine Corps Air Station, Iwakuni, Japan 3. Marine Corps Safety Excellence Awards: 3.a. Marine Corps Safety Excellence Award Senior Enlisted: GySgt Brandon Sydow, School of Infantry East, Camp Lejeune, NC 3.b. Marine Corps Safety Excellence Award Junior Enlisted: SSgt John McCarthy, Marine Wing Support Squadron 373, Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, San Diego, CA 3.c. Marine Corps Safety Excellence Award Officer: 1stLt Vito Santarsiero, 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, CA 3.d. Marine Corps Safety Excellence Award Civilian: Mr. David Soucy, Marine Corps Air Station, Camp Pendleton, CA 3.e. Marine Corps Civilian Of The Year: Ms. Alura Acosta, 2d Marine Aircraft Wing, Cherry Point, NC 4. Marine Corps Safety Awards: 4.a. Group I: Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, CA 4.b. Group II: Marine Corps Air Station, New River, NC 4.c. Group III: Marine Corps Air Station , Camp Pendleton, CA 4.d. Group IV: Marine Corps Logistics Base, Albany, GA 5. The respective commanding general will present unit and individual awards on behalf of the Commandant of the Marine Corps. Risk Management Directorate Safety Division will mail all awards and trophies to the unit addresses of the winning installations, units, and individuals. 6.
