The Marine Corps just opened the FY27 lateral move (LatMove) panel for three MOSs in the 17XX occupational field: 1702 Cyberspace Warfare Officer, 1706 Maritime Space Officer, and 1707 Influence Officer. This is an Active Component program only. If you are SMCR, IMA, or IRR, this panel does not apply to you directly, but if you are a reservist with an AC background considering a component transfer, or you have AC peers looking for this information, here is what the program covers.
Heads up: This solicitation is for AC unrestricted officers only. Reserve component Marines are not eligible for this panel.
Who it affects
AC unrestricted officers in the grades of captain (including captain-selects) through lieutenant colonel. Captain-selects and captains must be career-designated or scheduled to screen for career designation on the FY26 Career Designation Panel 2.
Several categories are ineligible:
- Officers above the zone for promotion
- Officers in Commandant's Education Board utilization tours who have not completed 36 months of that tour
- Officers in joint billets who will not have completed 24 months in their assignment by 1 June 2027
- Officers selected for this LatMove will be ineligible to screen on the FY27 O-5 Command Screening Board

- Compile everything into a single PDF, 800 KB or smaller.
