USMC PII Breach Reporting Moved to a New Office

The Marine Corps reassigned its PII breach reporting function to a new office. Effective immediately, HQMC Administration and Resource Management Division Service (ARSF) is now responsible for receiving, reviewing, and making determinations on potential PII breaches. The old office, DC I IC4, no longer holds that responsibility. This applies to the Marine Corps and Marine Corps Reserve.

Heads up: If your unit handles PII breach reporting, your point of contact has changed. Update your records now.

Who it affects

Primarily Command Privacy Coordinators and designated breach reporting officials at the unit level. If you hold one of those roles in your reserve command, this is a direct action item for you. Awareness-only for everyone else.

What you need to do

If you are a Command Privacy Coordinator or designated breach reporting official, update your contact information. The new point of contact is Ms. Deborah Contaoi at HQMC ARSF.

For everyone else: nothing to do. Just know the office changed if it ever comes up.
