HQMC Semper Fit is accepting applications for the 2025 Male and Female Athletes of the Year, plus team nominations for All-Marine sports teams. The original deadline of 31 January was pushed to 31 March 2026. SMCR Marines and those on Active Duty Operational Support (ADOS) orders are explicitly included, not just active component.

Heads up: The deadline moved to 31 March 2026, and Reserve Marines are eligible to apply or be nominated.

Who it affects

Active component Marines, SMCR Marines, and Marines currently on ADOS orders. Any of them can apply themselves or submit a nomination for another Marine. The competition covers individual athletes and high-performing unit sports teams competing at any level: intramural, varsity, All-Marine, national, or international.

What you need to do

If you have a Marine in your unit who competed at a serious level in 2025, or if that Marine is you, here is the process:

  1. Download the application form at https://www.usmc-mccs.org/allmarinesports.
  2. Gather the required documents: professional Marine biography, sports biography, basic training record from Marine Online, and any supporting documentation of athletic accomplishments during calendar year 2025.
  3. Get an O-5 or higher commanding officer endorsement on the application.
  4. Email the completed package to allmarinesports@usmc-mccs.org no later than 31 March 2026.
