2025 Marine Athlete of the Year applications are open

MARADMIN 041/26·February 12, 2026·1 min read·Official source

HQMC Semper Fit is taking nominations for the 2025 Male and Female Athletes of the Year, including team nominations for All-Marine sports teams. The award recognizes athletic excellence at any level, from intramural to international competition. SELRES and Marines on ADOS orders are explicitly included alongside Active Component Marines.

Heads up: The submission deadline of 31 January 2026 has already passed. If you missed it, watch for the FY26 cycle. Contact the POCs below if you have questions.

Who it affects

Active Component Marines, SELRES, and Marines on ADOS orders. Any of those Marines can apply for themselves or nominate someone else. Teams competing under recognized governing bodies (USA Track and Field, AAU, and similar) can also be submitted.

What you need to do

If the deadline has not passed for a future cycle, here is what the process looks like:

  1. Complete the application form at https://www.usmc-mccs.org/allmarinesports.
  2. Gather your professional Marine biography, a sports biography, your basic training record from Marine Online, and any supporting documents covering your athletic accomplishments for the calendar year.
  3. Get your commanding officer (O-5 or higher) to endorse the application.
  4. Email the completed package to allmarinesports@usmc-mccs.org.

For this cycle, the deadline has passed. Results will be announced via MARADMIN.
