HQMC has released the Calendar Year 2026 schedule for all officer non-statutory selection boards and panels. These boards slate officers to FY2027 and FY2028 assignments and programs. Convening dates may shift slightly, and a separate MARADMIN will drop before each board with specific eligibility rules and deadlines.

Heads up: This message is officially Active Component only, but if you are a Reserve officer competing for any board on this list, your OMPF and Master Brief Sheet (MBS) need to be accurate and complete before the board convenes.

Who it affects

Per the MARADMIN, this is an Active Component message. Reserve officers should check with their S-1 or monitor to confirm whether any specific board applies to them. If you have any reason to believe you are in a competitive pool, treat your record as if it matters now.

What you need to do

Your record is your responsibility. Before any board you might fall under:

  1. Pull your OMPF and MBS through the OMPF-Record Management Application (O-RMA).
  2. Verify everything in your file is accurate and complete, including any additions or deletions in the past 12 months.
  3. Confirm your official photograph is current. All boards and panels on the list below, except FY26 Career Designation Panel 1, will consider your OMPF photo during deliberations. (See MARADMIN 582/25 for photo requirements.)
  4. Watch for the individual solicitation MARADMIN for each board. That message will have the specific eligibility criteria and hard deadlines.

This manual tells officers what documents are appropriate for inclusion in their Official Military Personnel File (OMPF). This MARADMIN directs officers to consult it when verifying additions or deletions from their OMPF or Master Brief Sheet before a board convenes.

This earlier MARADMIN updated requirements for official photographs used during non-promotion selection boards. This MARADMIN confirms that all boards and panels listed (except FY26 Career Designation Panel 1) will consider OMPF photographs, making that guidance directly relevant to most officers on the schedule.
