MARFORSOC is actively recruiting Intel and SIGINT Marines to serve as Intelligence Special Operations Capability Specialists (SOCS). This is a competitive lateral move, not a school or a temporary assignment. Selected Marines PCS to MARFORSOC and support SOF operations worldwide in a full-time intelligence role. If you're in an 02XX or 26XX MOS and meet the physical and service requirements, this is worth a look.

Bottom line: Qualified 02XX and 26XX Marines (E-3 to E-6) can apply now by emailing the MARFORSOC POCs directly with a specific package of personal and service information.

Who it affects

This is for active-duty Marines only. Specifically:

  • MOS 02XX (Intelligence) or 26XX (Signals Intelligence/Ground Electronic Warfare)
  • E-3 through E-6
  • E-7 with less than 1 year TIG (considered case-by-case)
  • Minimum 36 months TIS
  • No active MECEP or Warrant Officer package submitted
  • TS/SCI clearance required (current)
  • No disciplinary action in the last 36 months
  • 24 months time on station and willing to PCS or PCA
  • Minimum 36 months obligated service prior to reporting (MARFORSOC tours run up to 64 months)

Physical requirements are real. You need a current passing PFT and CFT, meet height/weight standards, hold a basic swimming qualification, and be able to ruck 8 miles in under 2 hours with a 45-pound load.
