HQMC updated the FY26 screening and assessment schedule for lateral moves into MOS 1751, Influence Specialist. The January virtual window (27-30 Jan) is cancelled. New virtual dates are set through September, and in-person screenings at five installations are running January through March.

Heads up: The January virtual screening is cancelled. If you were planning to attend, pick one of the remaining windows.

Who it affects

Marines interested in laterally moving into MOS 1751 (Influence Specialist). Both active and reserve components are eligible to apply, but confirm eligibility requirements against the FY26 MOS Manual before you act.

What you need to do

  1. Check whether you meet the prerequisites in the FY26 MOS Manual (NAVMC 1200.1L).
  2. Pull the screening checklist, NAVMC 11517 (EF), and complete it.
  3. Pick a screening window below that works for you.
  4. Contact the POCs to get on the schedule and confirm location details for in-person events (specific installation locations are still TBD for some sites).

POC emails:

  • barry.templn@usmc.mil (GySgt Templin, 703-784-5609)
  • jonathan.n.padilla@usmc.mil (GySgt Padilla, 703-784-5223)
  • OMB_IMD_InfluenceOccFieldSlatMove@usmc.mil (program mailbox)

Note: the MARADMIN has a typo in GySgt Templin's email address ("TEMPLN" vs. "TEMPLIN"). Confirm the correct address with your S-1 or call the number directly if you get a bounce.
