The Marine Corps is accepting nominations for the Calendar Year 2025 Department of War Counterintelligence and HUMINT Enterprise (DCHE) awards. These are DoD-level awards recognizing standout CI and HUMINT professionals and teams across the defense intelligence community. Nominations cover actions conducted between 1 January 2025 and 31 December 2025. The hard deadline to get packages to HQMC is 16 March 2026.

Heads up: No late submissions will be accepted, and full packages must route through your local G-2X before reaching HQMC.

Who it affects

Marines and units in the CI and HUMINT community across the Total Force, SMCR and active component alike. Nominators must be an O-6 or above commander. Contractors are not eligible. Individuals cannot be nominated for both an individual and a team award in the same category.

What you need to do

If you have someone worth nominating:

  1. Confirm your O-6 or above commander will endorse the package.
  2. Get full award category criteria from your local G-2X section or the POCs below (criteria live at a higher classification level).
  3. Build your nomination package. Required documents:
    • Nomination narrative: Two pages max. Cover award category, nominee info, organization, POC, nominating authority, and a summary and significance of the achievement.
    • Award citation: Ten lines max. Must be UNCLASSIFIED. Any CUI or classified citation gets returned.
    • Biography or team list: One page max for individuals. Team nominations list all members (first name, middle initial, last name, grade/rank). Teams are capped at 25 personnel.
    • Vetting letter: From the parent command, signed by a GS/GG-15 or O-6 or above, confirming the nominee is clean of derogatory information, unresolved security issues, UCMJ violations, and negative conduct.
  4. Submit via the appropriate network to HQMC M-2X by 16 March 2026. Only one nomination per category per command.

Package format: Times New Roman, 12-point font. Overall classification must not exceed SECRET//NOFORN. Mark all documents per CAPCO guidelines. Templates and detailed instructions were pushed via ETMS2 on SIPR to all MARFOR and MEF G-2X sections.
