Utilities units must switch to TCPT's new utilities module now

The Marine Corps has directed all units involved in Utilities Equipment Operations (UEO) to stop using legacy tracking systems and move immediately to the Transportation Capacity Planning Tool (TCPT) Utilities Module (TUM). There was no standardized system for managing utilities equipment across the FMF before this. TUM is it now, effective the date of the message.

Bottom line: If your unit operates utilities equipment, you must use TUM starting now and complete any required training within 90 days.

Who it affects

Any Marine Corps unit that operates utilities equipment: generators, HVAC-R, water production and storage, power storage, or any other UEO gear. This applies to the total force, with the narrow exception of equipment in Depot Maintenance Float Allowance, preposition programs, and War Reserve Stocks.

Reserve units with utilities MOSs or any organic utilities equipment are included.

What you need to do

  1. Stop using whatever your unit currently uses to track utilities equipment. Legacy methods are to be decommissioned immediately.
  2. Migrate your existing personnel records, personnel licenses, and equipment profiles into TUM per the guidance in the MARADMIN's Reference D (ETMS2 task DON-250509-QG8W), if you haven't already.
  3. Get a TCPT account if you don't have one. Register at https://tcpt.usmc.mil/tcpt and request access through the MLS2 helpdesk at https://mls2support.com.
  4. Coordinate with your local Field Service Software Engineer (FSSE) for account approval, unit setup in TCPT, and hands-on training. Find your local FSSE at https://mls2support.com.
  5. Complete required training within 90 days of this MARADMIN (released 5 January 2026).

Going forward, use TUM for all UEO processes: equipment requests, tracking, maintenance scheduling, personnel license tracking, operational reporting, dispatching, and managing operational data logs.

Key dates

  • Immediate: Stop legacy tracking. Begin using TUM for all UEO.
  • Immediate: Begin data migration if not already done.
  • 5 April 2026 (approximately): Training deadline for existing TUM users, 90 days from release.
